Me

Me

What many people know about me is that I have a master’s degree in political science, law and linguistics. That I have a PhD from the Freie Universität in Berlin, and was a PhD fellow at Harvard University in international relations. Ever since, my passion and gift has been to work with complexity, and to help people find simplicity and clarity in complex situations.

What people know about me is that for 30 years, I’ve worked and become an expert in a broad range of fields, including development cooperation, programme management, policy advice, organizational development, human resources, communication, conflict management and leadership development. I’ve served as a senior consultant, manager and project leader. I’ve worked at the European Investment Bank for almost 18 years, serving as HR expert and leader. I have led projects and large initiatives to create organizational change, and experienced the challenges they face, how they fail, and how success is created, step by step. I have supported leaders and their teams in the day to day of their work. I understand leadership from the inside out.

Over many years, I have designed and delivered successful team offsites and workshops on leadership, conflict management, effective communication, and resilience. Interventions that have created ripples of impact.

Today, I am a consultant, coach, mentor, and trusted adviser to smart, passionate leaders and their teams. Whether they are growing their careers, working at the highest levels in the corporate world, or are ready to make a transition for the next big step.

What most people don’t know about me is that it took me a health crisis to become present to what I wanted for my life and work. I was successful and exhilarated by the responsibilities and challenges of my role. Saying yes to too many things, “because I could”. And then my body stopped me in my tracks. You can’t ignore a life threatening disease. My body said “you can’t do this any longer. You are not doing what you are supposed to do, and you are doing too much at a time.”

What most people also don’t know about me is that I’m an artist. As a painter, I have created artwork that shows the invisible and touches people’s souls. As a dancer, I have explored movement and the energy that is expressed through our bodies. And in the world of acting, I have received the gift of learning more about the many facets of human existence, emotions and communication than any personal or leadership development course could have ever taught me.

My experiences as an artist give a particular flavor to working with me. As a client told me: working with me provokes creativity and transformation – going deep, but with ease, playfulness and grace.

My clients come to me with the desire to go beyond their current limitations, to grow, excel and create impact in ways beyond what they can currently see. As a coach and trusted advisor, I help them connect deeply with themselves, their unique abilities, and what matters most to them, and to create clarity and a pathway for their life’s work.
